The first tow barge sailed in 1661 through the Sneeker Trekvaart, which is now called De Zwette.
The passenger boat was then one of the fastest ways to travel from Sneek to Leeuwarden.
Halfway, at De Dille, horses were changed to new ones, who could to pull the boat the second half.

 There where the horses have been stabled in that time, that is where we live now.

At the place were the hostel was back in the days, you can now enjoy drinks and bites in the teagarden or stay at the mini camping.
Our campsite has 8 spots for tents and small caravans and campers, till 6 meters, including shaft.
You can use our showers and toilets, but we don’t have the possibility to discharge chemical waste.
Furthermore, we have a small caravan for rent. This one is with a double bed and seats. With electricity, without water and gas.

We are open from April till October, from 10.30 till 17.00.
When the weather is good, the terrace is also open at evenings.
When the weather is too bad, we can choose to stay closed for that day.

From October till April, there is the possibility to make a group reservation up till 20 people, for parties, meetings and other gatherings.
